“Hereford enthusiasm was in abundance during the recent CNPHA Hereford
Classic Sale, held in Plymouth, California, November 18, 2007. A
big crowd was on hand and every seat was filled as the sale got
underway.
This 2007 sale featured the biggest consignment of cattle in the
history of the sale and the sale averages were impressive:
A horned Hereford heifer and a horned Hereford bull topped the
sale. Here are the high selling lots:

· Bred heifer, consignor: Bob Magill, Ione, CA,
sold to Lindsey Gregori: $3,250
· Two year old 1st calf heifer, consignor: Heritage
Cattle Co., Buhl, ID, sold to C. Lischka: $5,900
· Red baldy show steer, consignor: Alto Herefords,
Arcata, sold to Richard Kirby: $1,900.

2008 sale, which is set for November 15, 2008. As always,
the sale will be held at the historic Amador County Fairgrounds in
Plymouth, CA. The town of Plymouth is located in the heart of
California’s rugged Mother Lode country, 30 miles east of
Sacramento.
